Autumn Approaches

Hi Sandra

Thanks for your kind comments. I am really pleased I could help you. I don't know about you but autumn is here in my neck of the woods I am so looking forward to the autumn Sunshine and the leaves falling from the trees. We went birdwatching the other day and saw some lovely Kestrels and Buzzards. Also dug out my winter patchwork quilts this morning for a wash will not be long before they are needed to keep us all cosy at night.

Good Places for Clocks

Hi Sarah,

Those clocks are tin clocks- beautiful and so stylish as they are they are quite unique as they only come in that size which I think is about 36cm. Anyway I found them on an internet site, and really should not have bought them but I just loved them so much! The name of the site was http://www.hcandgcountrygifts.co.uk/ I have no idea if they are still available, but have a look. Let me know if you manage to get one.

Hi Sarah Thank you for Posting

I get my clocks from various places which one was it you were looking at?

Handcrafted Clocks & Pretty Things: August Fruit

Handcrafted Clocks & Pretty Things: August Fruit

Hello to everyone in Blog land looking forward to hearing from you all very soon

August Fruit

Its August and my Cooking and Eating Apples are ripe for picking. I have picked a big bowl of cooking apples today. Shortly I will peel them and make an apple pie or crumble.
Yum!
My Victoria Plums are also just about ready to be picked, I enjoy picking the fruit off the trees with the children. It is a cheap and happy thing to do for all concerned.
My search for pretty things has led me to find another lovely outlet called the handcrafted clock and gift company, I think you can find them on line too. I have found the most practical kitchen hook sprayed in cream in their shop. It will be ideal for hanging up all the children's winter coats.

British Blog Directory

Just joined the British Blog Directory and looking forward to meeting a lot more like minded people, who are inspired by the simple things in life like little old me.

Vegetables are growing in the greenhouse

My old fashioned and truly faithful wooden vegetable holder- broke today. The handle fell off and that is that. So I am using a tin one, it will still do the same job, it is alittle smaller than my old wooden one, but I can still cut flowers and cabbages and they slide in quite well. I have just picked ripe early spring cabbages from my greenhouse and spring onions.
